Pedestrian areas, residential areas,  city-centres, schools and hospitals are especially sensitive to noise with more and more local regulations preventing excessive noise levels on commercial and residential building sites.  In response, Saint-Gobain have developed “SILENCIO” - an innovation in silent blade technology which drastically reduces sound generated on the job site by 15-25dB(A).   This unprecedented noise-dampening effect is achieved with the following: FEATURES The newly developed 15mm segments are adapted to reach the best cutting speed and blade life for each application. Their trapezoidal shape provides a constant interval between each segment, and ensures the best material removal with the finest quality of cut. The comfort in cut for the operator is also greatly improved with this feature. The new generation of sandwich steel-centers (based on a patent-pending development by Saint-Gobain) features absorbent material inside the two steel-center halves - preventing noise generation like no other steel-center has been able to do until now. Intensive research has been done in order to make the “SILENCIO” the safest blade under even the most severe conditions. All laser-welded blades manufactured by Saint-Gobain fully comply with EN13236 and oSa requirements and exceed the safety standard requirements. We put end-user safety above all else. The “SILENCIO” is available in three specifications: petrol handheld saws, floor saws and masonry saws.
